These three seemingly children's movies speak to me on a higher level, which is what made me fall in love with them.

1) August Rush
Shows the power of music, and how music reunites a boy in foster care with his parents. I’m a musician myself, and I love hearing the soundtrack to this, as well as enjoying the touching plot.

2) Because of Winn Dixie
One of the few book-based movies that I can actually appreciate. The casting and sets were well thought out, and the movie basically stuck to the book’s plot. I love the character Opal, because she is an independent, fun-loving, shy girl who reminds me of myself at her age.

3) Wall-E
The plot and characters speak to the viewers on multiple levels. I love the message of environmental protection and conservation as well.
