Each house had a different project, which offered a different perspective on the service that is needed from those who are capable. I realized that day, that there are so many needs, so not helping out and not contributing is wrong. If you can lend a hand out, it is the greatest thing.

Comment on Graduation Speech

Aby,
Your blog was very inspiring. And I can really identify.
When I was in elementary school, I was practically fearless. I used to get up in front of the entire school every year and perform a self-choreographed dance for the talent show. Since then, I find myself suppressing that bold part of myself. Although I'm not really a dancer anymore, I'm trying to the 'inner kid' that is so brave and passionate

Comment on Don't Hold Back...Shine On

What you said and express in your blog is totally true. As parents we need to listen to our children and teens to help them develop their inner talents.
My son Michael, 13, is an homeschooler since grade 1. I believe homeschooling children and teens is a great way to help them to realise their full potential.
Every each of us is a brilliant star shinning in the sky!

Cedric

Comment on Bold Books: 1.7 Deadly Wonders, 2.6 Sacred Stones, Twilight

In my opinion, I do believe that the twilight series, whether or not liked by all of the people in the united states, is absolutely amazing. It is promoting reading, and discussion, and allowing teenagers worldwide an opportunity to close facebook, put down their cell phones, snuggle up with a good old book- and just read. Nowadays, we see more and more teenagers putting down books for TV dramas, internet communication sites, and other forms of technological entertainment. The Twilight series, like Harry Potter, has pushed students to learn to appreciate reading and realize that there is a whole new world left out there, if we were just able to stop our hectic lives, sit down, and crack open a good old book.

Comment on Getting Into College: A Personal Story

Amanda,
Congratulations on getting into your dream school! I had a very similar experience with my college counselor when I was applying to the Stern School of Business at New York University (your rival!). My counselor convinced me that I would never get in, and was shocked when I got accepted right away. Being persistent and not giving up on your dreams is key. Never let anyone tell you that you CAN'T do something, because believe me, you CAN.

Comment on Bold Books: 1.7 Deadly Wonders, 2.6 Sacred Stones, Twilight

The Twilight series is the best series i hav eread so far.Not because everyone likes it.I was against reading it at first. But now i read them over and over. The books are WAYYYYYYYYY better than the movie thats for sure.It gives more fo a description in the book. The movie cuts out alot of key points that need to be made.

Comment on Graduation Speech

First i wanna start by congratulating you.Speaking in front of a crowd can be nerve racking.Im a musician and i sing in front of alot of people on a daily basis.I remember my first time getting up on stage in front of all of them people. It was scary. So many things were running through my mind.I thought about throwing up,i felt like i was going to pass out.I felt like bolting. But once i started singing it all came to me like it was natural.Sometimes before a show i get nervous still when im inroducing a new song im often wondering and worrying if my audience will like my new song.So i know how u felt about presenting it to the teachers.I once again would like to congratulate you.
Always,
Samii

Comment on The Writing On the Wall this Year?
